SPATEX 2013… I’M GOING! Brighton based trade show steps up marketing plans for February exhibition

T

axi anyone? Let the train take the strain and we will reimburse the taxi fare from Brighton Train Station to all SPATEX visitors (with receipts). If you prefer to drive, then a whopping 50% discounted parking is available to you at the NCP Car Park directly opposite the venue.

Now that we have tempted you to travel to Brighton and with the countdown running at 21 weeks until SPATEX opens its doors for the 17th successive year, we want to tell you that much has been going on behind the scenes to ensure that SPATEX 2013 will be the best yet! The list of working partnerships and collaborations is growing in size and stature. In particular, SPATEX has formed an exclusive partnership with the STA, one of the world’s largest swim teaching and lifesaving organisations, who deliver the high quality training across four key business areas – Swimming Teaching, Lifesaving, First Aid and Leisure Management. With almost 80 years of frontline experience STA remain at the forefront of swimming and aquatic teaching in the UK with over 7,000 members. STA will be exhibiting at SPATEX and are organising targeted e-shots to their database covering the latest news and delivering a clear and concise message about the benefits of visiting SPATEX 2013. The Pool Water Treatment Advisory Group (PWTAG) will be manning a stand for the first time to promote their new Code of Practice. This is in addition to providing speakers for the ISPE Workshop Programme again. The PWTAG presence will provide visitors with an opportunity to have discussions with leading experts in all fields of swimming and spa pools.

With a continued solid relationship with the ISPE (the final Workshop programme is to be announced shortly) plus the collaboration with the two afore-mentioned esteemed bodies, it will bring

that SPATEX is the show that has the highest level of technical and business acumen through its partners and exhibitors, all under one roof. A good working relationship with the Bursar’s Association for independent schools (many of which have swimming pools) has been formed. A lengthy editorial feature has been produced for their autumn issue about the need to keep abreast of new wet leisure developments and products and how there is no better showcase than SPATEX 2013.

We have planned a comprehensive advertising and editorial campaign in a large number of magazines (both national and international) covering all wet leisure industry sectors. We are also pleased to announce a further two Media Partners, the dedicated trade publication Hot Tub Retailer and S & PA Professional Magazine. Regular press releases are also issued to the relevant media, on the SPATEX website and through the SPATEX Twitter and FB accounts. SPN will continue to feature a page of SPATEX news in each issue.

A SPATEX T-shirt with the message… ‘I’m Going!’ clearly printed on the front of the shirt has been designed and produced. Contact Helen on +44 (0)1264 358558 or email: helen@spatex.co.uk for information on how to

order yours. Send us snaps of you wearing your T-shirt and be included in our competition for a chance to win a pair of tickets to the Gala Dinner. We are also proud to present a brand new SPATEX website – clear, informative and appealing! The website will be regularly updated to keep everyone abreast of more of the exciting new developments we have planned for SPATEX 2013, so visit www.spatex.co.uk to stay in touch. On the website you will see our many testimonials, with accolades from industry stalwarts including Ross Alcock, Bob Kent and John Asher who have all written powerful endorsements and a rallying cry to support the show. We are extremely grateful to everyone who has pledged to support SPATEX 2013 and we will be doing all we can to live up to the challenge. spn
