The Buffalo low-level pool cover from Pool Enclosures Unlimited
Pool Enclosures Unlimited’s patented folding system links each frame section allowing the enclosure to smoothly concertina as it is moved on or off the pool
the Aquacomet range of enclosures – 17 lines in all. The Hungarian company’s range has features which are starting to attract UK customers – including a child safe locking system and high standards on break proof structures. The Hungarian company began trading against the background of the break-up of socialism in eastern Europe and one of the biggest challenges was to adapt to western European standards of marketing and quality.
Aquacomet has four air conditioned modern manufacturing facilities on a total area of 10,000 square metres, yearly making 1,000 enclosures and 250 fibreglass ceramic pools. The Galaxy range which can be attached to buildings or walls has an ‘OnRoll’ type enclosure, which can be installed without rails. The newest brand in the range is the Orion, Aquacomet’s top product, which is available in a 12-metre span, without rails with a telescopic opening and closing system.
DESJOYAUX OFFERS SAFETY, VISUAL APPEAL AND TOTAL COMFORT Desjoyaux continues to extend its range of enclosures for the UK market. Desjoyaux says its low-line shelter offers all the benefits of the shelter in a compact, fully-telescopic and discreet design which makes the most of any pool in summer.
The Mid-high shelter protects from wind and rain, extending the swimming season even longer. They even come with an optional electric motor to make opening and closing a simple operation for all users alike.
The Residential shelter is like an extra room for the home, allowing pool owners to enjoy the pool to the full all year round.
EXCELLENT LIGHT TRANSMISSION FROM POOL ENCLOSURES UNLIMITED Pool Enclosures Unlimited offer a unique range of retracting folding pool enclosures of which there are three models; Buffalo – a low-level pool cover; Amazone – a full-height pool enclosure ; and Amazone Grande – a commercial model spanning up to 15 metres. All can be moved quickly and easily off the pool without the need of a track. A patented folding system links each frame section allowing the enclosure to smoothly concertina as it is moved on or off the pool. When extending the enclosure back over the pool, the folding system locks into place, holding the main structure rigid and tensioning the flexible glass-clear crystal PVC glazing. The main structure is a substantial, powder-coated aluminium framework that is secured to the pool surround with quick-release ground anchors.

Also available is Compax – a fixed, clear span barrel-vault structure, glazed with replaceable panels of highly tensioned reinforced PVC, offering excellent light transmission glazing and a clear span frame design. The Compax is a full height enclosure that will extend the swimming season, reduce heating costs and cleaning time. On a warm day if unrestricted access to the pool and a cooling breeze is needed, both end walls can be raised to form a canopy providing superb ventilation. spn
