Majen Immink has been promoted to senior


communications manager for the British Toy and Hobby Association in recognition of the hard work and skill she has brought to her role. Majen will once again lead the Toy Fair marketing and PR campaign, as well as taking on more responsibility for the public affairs work that is so vital to the BTHA, alongside Natasha Crookes.


Music Sales has appointed John Bassett as their head of business development for its new children’s music arm Music For Kids. John, who is also a director of the new company, is developing and sourcing children’s musical instruments and publishing entry-level tutors for children from two to ten years of age. John said: “This is an exciting opportunity for both myself and Music Sales to break into this somewhat untapped market and using the Group’s vast worldwide experience in the music industry, we can swiftly penetrate all of the children’s markets relating to product and media for the under elevens.” Music For Kids has also recently formed a publishing arm, MFK Music. This is specifically aimed at Children’s TV and other media platforms.


Jo Body has joined MGA Entertainment as head of marketing in a newly created role within the company’s UK organisation. Formally director of pre-school marketing at Leap Frog’s US head office, Jo, who is based in Milton Keynes, will bring her transatlantic experience to the new role. As head of the marketing department and


part of the UK management team, Jo will be responsible for driving awareness of new product launches and building the strength of existing brands such as Lalaloopsy, Bratz, Zapf Creation and Little Tikes. Jo said: “This is an outstanding opportunity for me to utilise the marketing skills I gained working with Leapfrog in both the UK and US. MGA Entertainment has some fantastic existing brands and there are some exciting new launches on the horizon so I’m really thrilled to be coming into the company at such an

Wow! Stuff has announced that Dan King joined as their new UK sales manager on August 6th 2012. He will now be responsible for all Wow! Stuff UK sales operations. After nearly five years at Mattel, Dan joined MGA as general sales manager before heading up international sales on Gacha for Tomy.
