Brand Licensing Europe 2012 adds new exhibitors


Around a quarter of exhibitors at this year’s Brand Licensing Europe will be attending for the first time. Brand Licensing Europe 2012 has added over 85 new exhibitors to a 250-strong line-up. New exhibitors for this year include: DreamWorks Animation, Warner Bros. Consumer Products, DeLiSo Sophie La Girafe, Association of Illustrators, Endemol Worldwide brands, Inhouse Enterprises/Zandra Rhodes, MGA Entertainment, Museum Of London, Royal Opera House, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, The British Library and Tractorland. Jessica Blue, Brand Licensing Europe show director, said: “This year’s show has


grown by a phenomenal 25% with so many new exhibitors on board and many of our returning exhibitors taking larger stands. Disney’s Club Penguin sees second month of record traffic


Ultimate Jam, the in-world music and dance party, was the second most trafficked event of the year, with players logging more than 35 million play sessions. During the event, players redeemed nearly eight million dance- and music- themed items from the party catalogue, inspired by Disney Channel’s hit series ‘Shake It Up’, making it one of the most in-demand collections in Club Penguin history. For the first time players could interact with characters CeCe and Rocky from the show. Also during Ultimate Jam, Club Penguin and Walt Disney Records released its first single and music video, ‘The Party Starts Now’ by DJ Cadence. The music video has accumulated more than a million views since it was initially previewed on Club Penguin’s YouTube channel, and secured the number one spot on the iTunes Children’s Music chart for three weeks. Ultimate Jam builds on the success of Club Penguin’s Marvel Super Hero


Takeover, which was Club Penguin’s most trafficked event ever, logging 40 million play sessions across 200 countries.

Vivid set to launch a range of Tickety Toc toys


Vivid Imaginations has been appointed as master toy partner for pre-school show Tickety Toc, produced by Zodiak Kids’ production company The Foundation, and Korea-based FunnyFlux Entertainment. The range of toys, set to launch in the UK and


France from Autumn/Winter 2013, will include plush, collectable figures, playsets and puzzles, plus track and vehicle play, and is based on the Tickety Toc characters, including comedic twins Tommy & Tallulah and puppy- dog train Pufferty. Vivid will hold distribution rights for UK and Eire,


France, Germany, Iberia, Benelux and Nordics, in addition to global manufacturing rights outside North America, Japan and Korea. Tickety Toc launched on Nick Jr. in the UK this April as its number-one show for that month, and is set to launch on milkshake! and France 5 this Autumn. Other free-to-air broadcasters who have picked up the 52-episode series include Disney Junior (Canada), TG4 (Ireland), NRK Super (Norway), YLE (Finland) and Pop TV (Slovenia).
