Vivid Imaginations to go walking with dinosaurs


Vivid has been appointed as the worldwide master toy and games licensee for the 2013 release of Walking with Dinosaurs 3D, the feature film version of the multimedia franchise from BBC Worldwide, 20th Century Fox and Reliance Entertainment. Drawing on recent paleontological discoveries, the film features compelling dinosaur characters against photo-real 3D backgrounds. Vivid will introduce a line of collectable toys, games and puzzles to coincide with the film’s release. Carla Peyton, SVP License Consumer Products, said: “Walking with

New UK deals for The Trash Pack


The Trash Pack is set to build on continued sales success with a host of new licensing deals. Following the recent


confirmation of Parragon as the global publishing partner, UK licensing agent, Lisle International, is delighted to announce a number of new deals that will see the collectable move from the playground into the classroom and beyond. New partners include Winning Moves, who will be releasing Trash Pack Top


Trumps, and John Adams, who will introduce a number of lines including a game and magic kits. In addition, Copywrite Designs’ (part of International Greetings) is to become part of the licensee portfolio with a collection of stationery and lunch sets. Finally, Trade Mark Collections will be launching a range of bags and accessories whilst Fashion UK will be bringing out a brand new apparel collection. BinWeevils.com leads the way for online kids in the UK


June’s comScore results show digital entertainment platform BinWeevils.com has reached an active audience of 972,000 UK kids, making it the most popular digital destination of its type. Hornby sign worldwide licence with Grandpa in my Pocket show

has signed a worldwide licence with Adastra Creative, the entertainment company behind the CBeebies pre- school TV show Grandpa in my Pocket. Under the newly launched Corgi Toys sub brand, Hornby


will produce an extensive range of Grandpa in my Pocket toys including plastic vehicles and figurines, play-sets and Diecast vehicles. Products will hit retailers’ shelves Autumn/Winter 2013. Nat Southworth, sales and marketing director for Hornby,


said: “Grandpa in my Pocket is a fantastic programme and we are delighted to be producing the toys. The show has such a positive message, and brand fit with us. There is also the ‘shrinking cap’ allowing Grandpa to enjoy toys as well. It’s perfect for the Hornby family of brands.” Mellie Buse, of Adastra Creative, added: “Fans have been asking for these toys for a long while so we’re extremely excited about Hornby’s plans. It’s great timing because it ties in with the tour of the first Grandpa Stage Show.”
