BTEC Level 1 Diploma in Travel and


Tourism (LCH10041) This course provides specialised studies directly relevant to the hospitality, travel and tourism and related sectors in which you are working or intend to seek employment. You will develop a range of employability skills and techniques, understanding personal qualities and attitudes essential for success in working life. The qualifi cation provides a foundation of study from which you can move onto a level 2 qualifi cation such as the BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Travel and Tourism. This course is particularly suitable for people progressing from ESOL courses. Entry requirements: No formal qualifi cations are required. Entrance is subject to a College entry assessment and a satisfactory reference will be required. Possible next steps: BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Travel and Tourism or employment. Length of course (weeks): 36 Hours per week: 13


BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Travel and


Tourism (LCH30023) This course provides a background and range of skills and knowledge required for employment in the Travel and Tourism industries. Units of study include: the UK travel and tourism industry, exploring customer service in travel and tourism, UK travel and tourism destinations, European holiday destinations, exploring marketing in travel and tourism, developing employability skills for travel and tourism and planning visits for travel and tourism. Entry requirements: BTEC Level 1 Diploma (merit), or 4 GCSEs at grades D-G (including English), plus a satisfactory reference. Possible next steps: BTEC Level 3, NVQ Level 3 or employment in Hospitality, Travel and Tourism. Length of course (weeks): 36 Hours per week: 14
