PGCE Generic (year 1) This is the fi rst year of a two-year initial teacher training course for people who are already teaching in the lifelong learning sector. We run the course in partnership with the Institute of Education, which is where trainees will do the second year of the course. Interviews and initial assessment for the course will be held at the Institute of Education, as that is where you will be enrolled. You need to apply to the Institute of Education for an application form. They will invite you to an interview and initial assessment. This will take about half a day, as we need to be sure that you are capable of doing a high level course and are likely to be able to complete the two years. Entry requirements: You need to be teaching your own class for at least two and a half hours a week. Possible next steps: PGCE Generic (year 2) at the Institute of Education. For further information and application forms, email: sasha.lindsay@ioe.ac.uk.
