to BS7671:2008) (TBS515409) This qualifi cation is for practicing or newly qualifi ed electricians, or other trade professionals who need to demonstrate their understanding of the IEE Wiring Regulations. Electricians who have previously qualifi ed to the 16th Edition prior to 2001 are required to update to this qualifi cation. Entry requirements: You will have an interview with a course tutor. You should ideally be working in the electrical installation industry. Possible next steps: City & Guilds 2392 Certifi cate in Fundamental Inspection, Testing and Verifi cation or the City & Guilds 2391 Inspection, Testing and Certifi cation qualifi cations. City & Guilds 2392-10 Level 2 Certifi cate in Fundamental Inspection,


Testing and Verifi cation. This course is for practicing or newly qualifi ed electricians who have little or no experience of testing but who wish to progress to the City & Guilds 2391-10 Certifi cate. Entry requirements: You will have an interview with a course tutor. You should ideally have passed the City & Guilds 2330-07 Certifi cate in Electrotechnical Technology and the City & Guilds 2382-20 Certifi cate. Possible next steps: City & Guilds 2391-10 Level 3 Certifi cate in Inspection, Testing and Certifi cation of Electrical Installations. Length of course (weeks): 10 Hours per week: 3 hours (one evening a week)


City & Guilds 2391-10 Level 3 Certifi cate in Inspection, Testing and Certifi cation of Electrical Installations


(TBS61350) This course is for qualifi ed electricians who wish to demonstrate their skills to test installations and complete the relevant documentation. You must have at least 6 months’ electrical testing experience or have completed the City & Guilds 2392-10 Certifi cate. Entry requirements: You will have an interview with a course tutor. You must also be working in the electrical installation industry and have experience of inspecting and testing electrical installations. Length of course (weeks): 10 Hours per week: 3 hours (one evening a week)


City & Guilds 2377 Level 3 Code of Practice for In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment.


(PAT Testing) (TBS61350) You will gain the knowledge and understanding required to carry out inspections and testing of portable appliances and the requirements for management of testing and inspecting portable appliances. Entry requirements: Interview with course tutor. There are no formal entry requirements for this course but a basic understanding of electrical science would be an advantage. Length of course: 2 days


City & Guilds 2393 Level 3 Certifi cate in the Building Regulations for Electrical

Installations in Dwellings. (Part P) This course is for electricians wishing to undertake domestic installation work and to ultimately self-certify their own work. This course, on its own will not give you the skills necessary to become a competent Domestic Installer or to register on a Competent Persons scheme with an electrical safety organisation such as the NICEIC or ELECSA. Entry requirements: You should be qualifi ed electricians or qualifi ed tradesman in an allied trade working in England or Wales. Possible next steps: City & Guilds 2392-10 Level 2 Certifi cate in Fundamental Inspection, Testing and Verifi cation. Length of course (weeks): 5 Hours per week: 3 hours (one evening a week)
