City & Guilds 2330-01 Level 2 Certifi cate in Electrotechnical


Technology (TBS11341) This is a two-year course of part-time study. You will gain technical knowledge and achieve a recognised qualifi cation to enable you to work in the electrical installation industry. The course includes 4 units covering underpinning theory and practical installation work in the following subjects: Working Effectively and Safely; Principles of Electrotechnology; Applications of Health and Safety and Electrical Principles; Installations (Buildings and Structures). Entry requirements: Four GCSEs at grade C or above including English and mathematics, a science subject and one other, or an equivalent foundation course. You will also have an interview with the course tutor. Mature students with appropriate electrical contracting experience will also be considered following an interview with course tutor. Possible next steps: City & Guilds 2330 Level 3 Certifi cate in Electrotechnical Technology or the appropriate Apprenticeship framework at level 3. Length of course (weeks): 36 Hours per week: 6 (over two evenings a week)


City & Guilds 2330-07 Level 3 Certifi cate in Electrotechnical


Level 1 Introduction to Building Services – Electrical Installation


(TBS12172) This is a one-year course of full-time study. You will gain practical skills and technical knowledge to enable you to progress onto higher level qualifi cations or to fi nd work in the electrical installation industry. Entry requirements: You will have an interview with the course tutor. The course requires you to produce written work and mathematical calculations and ideally have GCSE at grade D or above. Possible next steps: City & Guilds Level 2 in Electrical Installations or the appropriate Apprenticeship framework at level 2. Length of course (weeks): 36 Hours per week: 16 (over three days a week)


Technology (TBS61347) This is a one-year course of part-time study. You will follow a course of study which includes: Health and Safety; Inspection, Testing and Commissioning; Fault Diagnosis and Rectifi cation. Entry requirements: You will have an interview with the course tutor. You must already have achieved the City & Guilds 2330 Level 2 Certifi cate in Electrotechnical Technology, or equivalent. Mature students with appropriate electrical contracting experience will also be considered. Possible next steps: Professional qualifi cation routes leading to the City & Guilds 2382 Requirements for Electrical Installations to BS7671:2008; City & Guilds 2392 Certifi cate in Fundamental Inspection, Testing and Verifi cation; City & Guilds 2391 Inspection, Testing and Certifi cation qualifi cations. Length of course (weeks): 36 Hours per week: 1 day per week, or 6 hours per week over two evenings
