A

s the tables are cleared and coffee, mince pies and mints

enjoyed the evening’s entertainment commences, this year we were fortunate to be able to persuade Paul Jerrom to come along - having had to cancel him at the last minute last year he was pleased to be able to join us this year. There followed 60 minutes of first class entertainment with a range of songs and music which soon had us all clapping and indeed a number (including some Rotarians) dancing along. The evening closed with the raffle with a number of prizes in addition to the splendid hamper provided by West Lodge.

I

am sure from all the feedback and the number of enquires of “will I be on the list

next year please” that all our guests enjoyed the evening, as I am sure did we all.

A great example of “service above self”. Story supplied by Brian Taffs
