ecretary Geoff Furzland, Brian Taffs & Colin Davies represented our Club and
joined in on the Harvest Assembly occasion with games and singing.

ur Club’s Secretary Geoff received a recognition certificate for our Clubs
previous activities for the school and there was a surprise for Brian as it was announced to be his birthday that day, whereby, Brian was asked to go to the front of the Assembly whilst everyone sung happy Birthday,
he Assembly of students, carers,
teachers and guests enjoyed the event which received much applause.

avensbourne School is a special school in Havering. Which cater for pupils aged
between two and nineteen years old with a wide range of different educational needs. The pupils all with severe learning difficulties, who have, or are in the process of being given, a Statement of Educational Need. They may have additional sensory, physical, emotional or behavioural difficulties.
recent 'Outstanding' report from OFSTED said: "Ravensbourne provides
exceptionally effective care, guidance and support for its pupils. This, together with a
curriculum that is very well matched to pupils' individual needs, underpins their outstanding personal and academic progress. Pupils of all ages, and across a wide spectrum of complex learning difficulties and disabilities, make gi- ant strides from when they join the school. Despite sometimes degenerative and distress- ing medical conditions, pupils markedly im- prove their communication skills. Many be- come adept at using signs and symbols to make known their views and understanding of the environment around them.
