Client Focus: The House of Isolation
Adrian Fine has been undertaking a course to build on his video making skills. Here Adrian tells us about his inspiration and the process of making his video.
Last year I started a course about Involvement & Inclusion, which included a section about film-making. So far I have produced and directed my own film called The House of Isolation, which is about someone feeling alone. I like producing best because you can make sure the film gets your point across.
The film is 7 minutes long and my friend James, who lives in the same house as me, plays the part of me. In the film I live with my parents and feel isolated from the wider community. Eventually I think 'enough is enough, I’ve got to get out the house' and I go to the beach. We filmed the sunset on Llanelli beach, spelling out the word 'isolation' in the sand as well as two different subways. One of the subways had the word 'HOPE' already written on the wall making it the perfect setting for filming.
