May 9th saw the Caersalem Canaries hosting the second tournament held at Tylorstown Sports Centre in Rhondda. Again, Park View took the lead and won a second time and took home a second trophy to add to their collection. A buffet and presentation were held at Caersalem to mark the event.
More tournaments are being arranged, with each of the Gwalia Projects involved in organising their own event. Holton Road in Barry will be hosting in June, followed by Janner House in Cardiff in July and Park View in Blackwood in August. We hope to see you there.

Project Focus: The Briars Resident Team Building
In September 2010 The Briars Project secured funding from Swansea Youth Bank to carry out a team building residential. After 6 months of planning and preparation the time had now come for them to attend the team building residential that they had all been looking forward to.
On March the 7th three young people from the Briars and two young people from Swansea Foyer all boarded the mini bus and began their journey to Newgale in Pembrokeshire to begin three days full of activities catered for by the YMCA. Included in the activities were high ropes, mountain biking, coasteering, rock climbing and abseiling.

I really enjoyed the high ropes, it was my favourite. I really felt like I had more confidence after taking part in this. Jack, Swansea Foyer
were responsible for supporting each other and had to hold the ropes that kept everyone from falling.
The first activity on the second day was mountain biking through the country side which we found extremely difficult, but staff from the YMCA commented on how supportive everyone was of each other.
