stuck During the course, I made my film, themed it and edited it.

This course has taken me on a very personal journey, because the subject I chose was life in Neath. This gave me the chance to use photographs I have taken and models I have made of Neath town over the years. The film was finished in time to show it at the Gwalia Care and Support On Tour conference.

I would definitely recommend that other people go on the course which will be run again in September.

Michael Client Focus: TPAS Cymru Awards!

On Thursday 27th May I went to Cardiff with Nichola Jeremy, Project Leader and Doug Terry, Support Worker to the TPAS Cymru Annual Participation Awards. When we arrived at the All Nations Centre I thought it was going to be boring as it seemed so formal, but when I saw the summary of nominations I saw that our project Llety Llanelli Foyer had been nominated for four award categories and I crossed my fingers that we would win something!

When we got second place for improving the environment I was proud and wished the rest of the residents were there to share my excitement and the recognition we had received for all our hard work. The food being served was lush and I kept going up for more! I met a lot of people and told them about our project and what we had been doing over the last year and our plans for the year ahead.

At the end of the day I was so happy and couldn't wait to return to the project to show all the residents the award we had won. I am looking forward to the plans we have for the Foyer for this year and I hope the improvements made will mean we can win more awards!!
