Before
Castle House arranged the first tournament in Hawthorn Leisure centre but as we didn't have proper uniform we had to borrow bibs so didn't feel part of a team. After a discussion with tenants it was decided that for the next tournament we would use funding from our Tenant Committee to purchase kits.
The Caersalem House Tenant Committee was set up two years ago and consists of a Chairman, Treasurer, Secretary and several committee members. The committee set up a bank account and constitution promising to have regular meetings.
The committee raise money through raffles to win prizes donated by the local community including
Mumbles Cycle Ride
Early, on a British Spring morning on May 12th Stephen, Ian, Cara, Andrew and Daniel with Staff members Mike Horrell and Fiona Cox set off for Mumbles on the Swansea coast. We met up with the other members from Sistrans and made a group of 35.
We stopped for lunch and a paddle and arrived back 5 hours later in mumbles where we had a coffee and ice cream.
We all enjoyed a great day out, even though we were sore the next day!!

haircut tokens, meals, chocolates and a vase.
We got a great price for the eight sets of tops and shorts - we even managed to get matching socks for free.
As you can see from the pictures it made a real difference to the team and prompted our new nickname “The Caersalem House Canaries.”
