Lyme Disease Documentary At Riverfront Community Center

nder Our Skin”, a documentary about Lyme disease will be screened at the Riverfront Community Center 300, Welles St. in
Glastonbury at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 21. The screening is being sponsored by The Glastonbury Garden Club.
“Under Our Skin” is a dramatic tale of microbes, medicine and money. The film takes viewers on a journey beneath the
surface of one of the least understood diseases of our time – Lyme disease. Through dramatic stories of those who have been
affected by the disease, the film shows how controversies concerning diagnosis and treatment are leaving Lyme patients aban-
doned by the mainstream medical establishment. Lyme disease is a complex, multi-system disease that mimics many other
conditions. Patients may be misdiagnosed with conditions including depression, anxiety, migraine headaches, fibromyalgia,
chronic fatigue syndrome and multiple sclerosis.
Attorney General Richard Blumenthal, Dr. Charles Ray Jones of New Haven, Dr. Bernard Raxlen of Stamford, Dr. Eugene
Shapiro of Yale and Dr. Lawrence Zemel of the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center are some of the Connecticut people who
appear in the film.
Following the screening, Glastonbury physician Dr. Tom Moorcroft, DO will be available to answer questions. Dr. Moor-
croft is an integrative family practitioner who has trained under Dr. Charles Ray Jones and Dr. Richard Horowitz, two of the
country’s leading Lyme disease specialists. Registration is free, but space is limited.

The Spirit of Light Wellness Studio is opening in Wallingford

always easy, we often get lost,” stated Colleen Behan, owner/director of Spirit of Life Wellness Studio, which opens on October 1st
at 1161 South Broad Street in Wallingford. A grand opening is scheduled for October 22nd from 5-9pm. Enjoy a free private reading,
10-minute massage, raffles, and light refreshments.
Ms. Behan has long been a beacon of light, facilitating the process of change for people who want to lead a more fully realized
life, open to the gifts of Spirit in every moment. “We can become great navigators of the life we have been given. We can learn to see
where we are going, even when we don’t recognize where we are. It is my mission to help people become their greatest potential.”
Ms. Behan is an experienced Spiritual Psychology Practitioner and Advanced Energy Healer. She has studied spiritual healing arts
since 1990.
Spirit of Light will offer private healing sessions, individual and group intuitive readings, and workshops/classes designed to sup-
port personal-spiritual growth and development. Ms. Behan’s capstone class is the Self-Mastery Program. Participants learn to trans-
form beliefs and perceptions that keep them stuck. Using her intuitive gifts, Ms. Behan helps clients identify the role of Spirit in their
life so they may begin to live with purpose.
Classes begin in early October, including A Journey Through The Course In Miracles, Gallery Readings with S.O.L.’s intuitive read-
