Name: Yasmin Bradbury Thoughts on the day: What a fantastic show of cows! The show ring was buzzing and what I did notice was the number of commercial farmers at the show and we were pleased to have foreign interest in embryos. The venue was fantastic and everyone was so helpful. The only improvement I can think of for next year, is to let the cows have a rest after the show
before their long journey home and even have a bit of an after show party, so we can mix with the organisers and exhibitors.

Thoughts on the day: I only entered one cow because it was a Club team event as I don’t have the time to put in a lot of work to show. The nature of this
event with the team focus fi ts perfectly with my circumstances. To be able to attend and show at an elite pedigree show was a great honour for me. The organisation inside and outside of the shed was just amazing as were the facilities. There is no doubt this is the best show I’ve been to for a long time. My only feedback to the team would be how they would facilitate the cows for next year, as everyone will want
to be there. It’s been a pretty warm September so far, and if next year is the same, with a bigger show, there may be need for more fans!
Name: Hefyn Wilson Thoughts on the day: What can I say, brilliant show, fantastic facilities and I’m delighted the South Wales Club won the best stand promotion. A show like this is just what we need in this country, as we haven’t had one like this since the last National when it was in February. Next year, the only improvement I would like to see would be to have a bit more ventilation.

Thoughts on the day: Wow! What an atmosphere and the camaraderie within the cattle lines and around the ring was so good. I think it’s because everything was just so well
organised, nobody had to worry about anything except turning up and looking after the cows. I am defi nitely going to be back next year, as I had a great time, but on top of that there has been a lot of enquiries for cattle and of
course I priced them fairly. THE JOURNAL OCTOBER 2014 13
Name: David Gray Thoughts on
the day: Fantastic event – from start to fi nish, it was well
organised with a great layout. The staff on site couldn’t have been more accommodating and the Holstein UK and Dairy Day teams were very helpful. Without doubt I’ll be back.
This is a show the UK has been needing as an autumn and National show. As a fi rst event it was great, so future years will be phenomenal. For future years I’d like to see calf classes added to the programme and possibly a celebration, social evening afterwards.
