How did Elemis’ Pro-Collagen Marine Cream originally come about? “We were striving for the ultimate in anti-ageing perfection, both from an effi cacy and customer experience standpoint. From the initial brief for Pro-Collagen Marine Cream, it took about three years to develop the fi nal product.


“There were more than 53 formulations and, ultimately, it was a signifi cant achievement of commitment, focus, challenging standards and delivering at every level of the company.”

What does the product mean to your brand? “For me, Pro-Collagen Marine Cream represents an exceptional performance from every area of our company. Everybody had a role to play, from the sourcing of the raw materials and the development of the cream to fi nding a product that gave us a signifi cant point of difference for both our wholesale customers and our consumers. It has ultimately become our hero product.”

What makes the the cream so special? “It’s key strength is as a user-friendly product that can be used in any climate, anywhere in the world and at any time of day – and that means its audience is huge. Can you give us some background to Pro-Collagen Marine Cream’s ingredients? “Padina Pavonica active, one of the product’s key ingredients, actually originated within Elemis treatments more than 10 years ago, when it was used in the Pro-Collagen Quartz Lift Facial. Following the
