from a range of natural materials such as Colmenar limestone, native basalt stone and oak. Organised by the European Historic Thermal Towns Association (EHTTA), the round-table ‘café’ debate will focus on the ways that digital technologies can revolutionise the visitor experience and the impact they can have on wellness tourism in thermal spa towns. The event is part of the Sources of Culture: the Cafés of Europe project, a €400,000 collaboration of nine spa towns in six countries across Europe that was recently awarded 50 per cent funding by the EU’s Culture Fund. Further debates and a series of creative projects are scheduled to take place over the next two years, with the next ‘café’ event scheduled for July in Spa, Belgium.
