Babor launches at Norway’s most natural spa 20


Norway: Babor has celebrated the launch of a new partnership with the iconic spa at the Hotel Farris Bad in Larvik’s Bay, Norway. The 1,500sqm spa, which uses fresh spring water sourced from a subterranean grotto 55m underground, includes 18 treatment rooms as well as fi ve saunas, a steambath and a hammam. Appearing to ‘hover’ above the bay, the spa also features a VRP area (Very Relaxed Person) that contains a fjord sauna and whirlpool and has

The Habia Skills Academy has launched a Skin Cancer Awareness campaign. The fi ve-step


‘ABCDE’ campaign encourages spa and hair professionals to play their part in identifying the early


symptoms of melanoma during their close work with clients. Educational packs and a smartphone app are available to help spas educate their staff about the early signs of skin cancer. Habia MD Rob Young said: “Beauty


may be only skin deep, but skin cancer is life-changing. With the facts at their fi ngertips, staff will be able to confi dently identify symptoms and advise clients to seek appropriate medical guidance.”

UK: To follow the appointment of Stéphanie Guinard as [comfort zone]’s international director of brand development, three new posts have been created at [comfort zone] UK. Since the creation, in January, of a subsidiary cosmetics division under Davines S.p.A, a new London offi ce has been established for the company’s UK team and four new staff have been taken on to drive the brand forward.
