effi cient and direct way of doing business as possible.” As well as the average of 20 meetings lined up for each attendee over two days, the event also offered networking opportunities during breakfast, lunch and dinner. Suppliers ranged from global skincare experts such as Clarins and Thalgo to exclusive brands such as bespoke perfumier Teo Cabanal and natural cosmetics experts Pure Altitude, whose spa and export director, Marie-Paule Leblanc-Peru, gave a presentation on how to maximise each meeting. Every supplier was given the opportunity to meet with as many buyers as possible during the event, while the targeted meetings offered key buyers exposure to a top-level range of new brands, equipment and services. As Vanier explained: “We are seeing a strong business trend emerging towards providing a tailor-made spa experience and this was refl ected in the attendance of exclusive companies such as Gharieni and Fashionizer, who can provide a truly bespoke solution for each of their clients.” Following the success of the El Jadida event, the ninth SpaMeeting, set to take place in Dubai on November 27-28 this year, promises a familiar mix of social and business interaction. Vanier concluded: “We pride ourselves in being able to provide a unique environment at each SpaMeeting so our bespoke business meeting concept can thrive in an atmosphere of creativity and conviviality.”
