Samtec Introduces Cost-Effective High Speed Cable System

New Albany, IN — Samtec’s line of coax cable systems includes a cost- effective, micro discrete wire coax solution for high speed applications. The coax cable assembly (FCF8 Series) and board level connector (FCS8 Series) create a high perform- ance system with a compact design and rugged features suitable for applications that require a space- saving, economical solution for high- speed transmission of data in micro- industrial, medical/military instru- mentation, and many cable-to-board high speed signaling applications. The FCF8/FCS8 system is

available with a choice of 10, 20 or 30 total contacts on a 0.80mm (0.0315- in.) pitch, with the outside contacts grounded to the outer body shielding. The cable assembly uses 38

AWG micro discrete wire coax cable, available in any length longer than 3.00-in. (76.2mm) that can achieve

100 Watt AC-DC Power Supply from PSUI

Wrentham, MA — Power Sources Unlimited, Inc. has introduced the NXT-100 series of ultra small AC-DC power supplies with extended tem- perature range, achieving unit start- up at temperatures as ,low as –40°C for its -WT models. The NXT-100 series provides a

high power density of 8.9W/-in.2 and universal 85 to 264VAC input in a 1U high chassis. Eight models pro- vide adjustable, single outputs from 2.5VDC to 48VDC. Efficiency is said to be 85 percent typical, line and load regulation are 0.5 percent, and oper- ating temperatures are up to +70°C with airflow. Comprehensive protec- tion circuitry is inherent in the NXT- 100 advanced SMT design.

high performance at a highly compet- itive price. A positive latching sys- tem, metal shielding for EMI protec- tion, and standard weld tabs on the surface mount connector make this suitable for harsh environment and other

rugged applications. Application-specific cable lengths are

also available. Contact: Samtec, Inc., P.O. Box
