Lamb Comes Home To Bayrol
After a brief break from the brand, Jimmy Lamb has returned to head up sales of Bayrol in the UK and Eire as Bayrol product manager.
Jimmy will be working as part of the Pollet Pool Group team that took over the exclusive distribution of the brand at the start of this year.
Jimmy first started at the old BioLab in 1999 after serving a three-year mechanical apprenticeship and then working as an engineer predominantly in the aerospace industry. It was his father, John Lamb, Bayrol’s technical director at the time, who introduced Jim to the swimming pool industry and Lamb, the younger, has never looked back.
“My key responsibility is to provide the products quickly and
efficiently,” says Jimmy. “With the existing PPG team we can now offer a turnkey solution to swimming pool water treatment,” he adds. “PPG have an existing young and enthusiastic team. The Bayrol team fit in well and we complement each other,” says Jim.
BIG BRAND
Bayrol was founded in 1927 and was the first company to develop pool water treatment products in Europe. The largest brand in pool water treatment in Europe, the company was acquired by Great Lakes in 1993 and has operated as part of the Chemtura corporate stable since July 2005.
Bayrol retailers benefit from free product display stands and point of sale promotions as well as customer support in the shape of educational evenings for the end user. Look out also for the rekindling of the popular La Voie business seminars and dinner

dances for Bayrol dealers.
Jimmy comments: “Bringing the Bayrol brand under the Pollet umbrella has given the brand greater flexibility, great support from the existing youthful team and a heap of more products to offer.” “The Bayrol range contains many patented products not found in any other brand and the philosophy remains to explain both spa and swimming pool water treatment in its simplest form.“ Pollet Pool Group Tel. + 44 (0) 1635 234038 Email.
