UK pool installation, maintenance and retail businesses attendance increased by 10.9% since 2009 with over a third of trade visitors being wet facility operators and a whopping 65% directly involved with purchasing products and services, according to the organisers. “SPATEX 2013 really was the very best ever,” said Tony Line of London Swimming Pool Co Ltd. “The layout, particularly the entrance and immediate area, was dramatically improved and very welcoming.”

Ross Alcock of the Institute of Swimming Pool Engineers (ISPE) commented: “The attendance for the ISPE Workshops was 55% up for the first two days and 38% up over all three days when compared to last year, and also up on the previous four years. “I thought the show was excellent, probably one of the best, and we signed up eight new students and a similar number of new members on our stand.”

Jamie Adams of Golden Coast, one of the many exhibitors taking part added: “We enjoyed one of our busiest shows ever and were flat out over the first two days talking to customers old and new about our latest products and innovations. “Having the opportunity to attend an industry showcase is a key part of our marketing strategy so I want to see SPATEX consolidate its position as ‘THE’ show and develop it to be as attractive as possible to all the potential exhibitors and visitors in the wet leisure industry.”
