JC Leisure Solutions believe that school swimming pools are an integral part of the community and the company is working to play their part in saving local swimming pools. When JC Leisure directors, Nicole and Natalie Lester, attended the UK Active summit in November, they left determined to explore how JC Leisure could contribute towards UK Active’s mission, to get ‘More People, More Active, More Often’. They recognised that the obvious synergy with their service offering was swimming, so when they researched the availability of community swimming facilities, such as schools, and they unearthed some shocking insights.
Natalie explains: “When I discovered that one in three pools in the UK are under threat of closure, I immediately needed to investigate what JC Leisure Solutions could do to help. It just made sense to try to come up with a better solution to help schools and local councils. We need to help keep these pools from
going into disrepair and eventually closing down” JC Leisure’s cost-saving results with commercial customers are substantial. Research has shown that their regular planned maintenance has reduced reactive costs for one of their national operators by 58%. This came as a result of a carefully thought-out maintenance programme.
OPERATING COSTS

JC Leisure have proven time and time again that prevention is better than cure and have created a fully managed planned maintenance programme which includes onsite pool maintenance training to staff. We provide onsite staff with the skills they need to operate and maintain their own pool on a day-to-day basis, which ensures suffi cient upkeep.
JC Leisure also provides support with free 24hr technical help; providing troubleshooting tips and advice on maintenance standards including pool water quality.
