MANAGEMENT + SYSTEMS New application enables mobile decision making

Dematic, a supplier of logistics systems for the factory, warehouse and distribution centre, is rolling out a new technology to enable customers to manage their businesses remotely.

T T

he company has introduced the Dematic Mobile Monitor, a software application for monitoring and controlling warehouse and distribution operations from a smart phone or tablet. Built upon Dematic’s existing software

platform, the Mobile Monitor provides remote access to real time information to help users keep facility operations running at optimal levels, even from off-site locations. Using a simple Wi-Fi connection, Mobile Monitor brings mission

control to smart phones and tablets with an intuitive interface that Dematic says is simple to understand and easy to use. The

application enables operations and maintenance personnel to view both material handling systems and operational statuses to quickly evaluate and improve conditions that affect performance. The applications interactive dashboard provides insight

into performance KPIs, area progress and labour statistics to warehouse areas from receiving to shipping. Users can see current performance, statistics and resources of a particular area using the applications gesture-based navigation. The Mobile Monitor’s DC View visualisation interface lets users quickly observe the facility layout from a bird’s eye view.

Business management software provider Access Group has launched its SaaS based self-service platform Access aCloud, helping companies connect with staff, customers and suppliers, irrespective of time, location or device.

he first phase of the launch includes aCloud Portal, aCloud Expense, aCloud Capture and aCloud Document. aCloud Portal allows the user to view invoices and statements for faster debt collection. Online messaging

This reduces approval bottlenecks, enforces company policies and controls expenses limits. aCloud Capture automates invoice processing with intelligent data capture

procedures to save time, reduce costs and mistakes. Finally, aCloud Document allows the user to scan and access any document in the cloud, without the need to buy costly document management systems. Chris Bayne, CEO for Access, said: “aCloud provides a modern,

easy to understand user experience, encouraging rapid adoption with minimum training. The applications help organisations deliver improved productivity, safely, securely and without barriers. It’s like having your whole business network in one place.”
