reducing the time taken on machine preparation and changes, as well as a significant reduction in manufacturing costs. “With our GOGOR (GG) coating we can provide our customers with the best

A

ratio of quality, service life and price on the market,” states Alberto Gabika. HEROSLAM points out that when its GG coating is combined with its

tooling capabilities - such as thread rolling hard materials (titanium or Inconel), customers are more than satisfied with the result. In fact the results obtained with GOGOR (GG) have led HEROSLAM to

be recognised by customers from the aerospace fastener industry as a leading supplier of thread rolling tools. Alberto Gabika says: “HEROSLAM produces tools of exceptional quality, a complete range of products including flat and planetary dies, as well as cylindrical dies for all kind of thread-rolling applications. Thus, we put our customers ahead of the competition in terms of threading quality and tool cost efficiency.” To receive additional information and technical specifications on the

new GOGOR (GG) coating and the other products offered by HEROSLAM, visit the company on Stand N104 in Hall 6 at Fastener Fair Stuttgart 2013.

lberto Gabika, managing director of HEROSLAM, reports that the application of the GG coating - developed and made in-house - increases tool life by an average of at least 30%. Additional benefits include minimising machine down time through

Raw materials from Tycoons

Tycoons Worldwide Group Co Ltd, based in Thailand, is a modern and fast growing company that can deliver wire rod, bar in coil and annealed CHQ wire for the cold forming of parts.

T

he production process of wire rod starts with billet inspection by magna line and conditioning by grinding followed by reheating and rolling. Diameters are 100% controlled by hot gauge.

Wire rod is available in many steel grades and can be delivered up to a diameter of 42mm. The annual production capacity is 360,000 tonnes. Tycoons points out that it also has a spheroidised annealing plant - with processes including intermediate drawing, spheroidised annealing to 95%, pickling and coating, as well as skin pass. All grades can be delivered with processes from SA (K) to PASAIP (GKGK). The current annual capacity of the annealing plant is 72,000 tonnes. The company adheres to strict quality systems including ISO-9001 and ISO-17025, and for the environment - ISO-14001. Fastmatec is the European agent for Tycoons. Herman

Westhoff, general manager at Fastmatec, comments: “Raw material is a basic element in any production environment. The quality and availability are crucial factors, as are competitive pricing and good service.” He adds: “Over the last two years we have seen an

increase in sales in Europe, showing that we produce high quality steel wire.”
