CONSTRUCTION FIXINGS Cures in record time

The fixing specialist fischer says that its Highbond systems sets new standards in anchoring and processing in cracked and non-cracked concrete.

anchor still has all the previous benefits and functionalities, but is entirely free from hazard symbols that affect health and the environment. It is also not covered by the Thermosetting Plastics Ordinance issued by the Swedish Work Environment Authority. ECM is a universal product that is suitable for all kinds of extreme fixing. It can be used for fixing balconies, rails and extensions

of joist floors. There is no required training or certification in order to be able to use the product. However, the chemical anchor is an advanced product in itself whose power and strength is generated by the chemical reaction that takes place upon application. Therefore it is crucial for the anchoring properties that the fixing is carried out according to ESSVE’s instructions. In order to make it as easy as possible for the users to get it right, ESSVE has created an informative step-by-step instruction film that shows proper fixing. By using the QR-code that’s available on the tube, the users can watch the film at their convenience.

INDEX launches new heavy-duty anchor

INDEX Fixing Systems, a manufacturer and industrial supplier of anchors, screws and other fixing systems, has launched its new MTP control-torque expansion anchor, which has obtained the European Technical Approval (ETA 12/0397) in Option 1.

NDEX Fixing Systems’ MTP is a heavy-duty anchor, made of white zinc-plated steel and a stainless steel A4 clip, which grants the anchor a high resistance to corrosion. The control-torque allows an ideal installation thanks to the low friction level of the cone and the clip. It is also highly resistant to traction and shear, and can be used in both cracked and non-cracked concrete C20/25 and C50/60. When any new cracks appear the anchor expands

again in order to compensate for the gaps. It also has fire resistance class R120. INDEX points out that the upper part of this new anchor is length-marked for easy identification, even after it has

been installed. The new MTP is especially recommended for fixing catenary systems, security elements and high-load structural applications, as well as heavy-duty machinery.

eliably used in their millions, fischer says the unique and adaptable Highbond systems for fixings in cracked and non-cracked concrete are the ideal choice for ultimate load ratings in all concrete strengths and

grades. The full system range covers design variants in zinc-plated steel, stainless steel A4 and highly corrosion-resistant steel (1.4529) from M8 to M24.

fischer points out that the FHB II Highbond is the world’s first anchor approved for the tensile zone for cartridges and injection systems. Both the short standard type FHB II-AS and the optimised long FHB II-AL can be used either with the injection resin FIS HB, the standard resin cartridge FHB II-P or the resin cartridge FHB II-PF. When using the resin cartridge FHB II-PF in a component

temperature of 21°C, the load can be applied after just two minutes, which substantially eases handling. The resin cartridge also gives the user the confidence that sufficient bonding

material is available for fixing in the drill hole. The setting performance is identical for both cartridges. Both systems are suitable for overhead installation. The resin cartridge FHB II-PF may also be used in water-filled drill holes. The FHB II resin anchor has the European Technical Approval Option 1 for cracked and non-cracked concrete (ETA-05/0164). An expert fire protection report with a fire resistance duration of up to R120 and the ZTV tunnel fire test are available. The fischer Highbond system FHB II is suitable for approval-

relevant applications (i.e. for fixings whose failure could result in danger to life and limb) in cracked and non-cracked concrete, for fixing catenary systems in tunnels, turbines, banisters and base consoles in power stations, also cable lines, ladders and complex and demanding façade substructures.

ESSVE has launched a new heavyweight in chemical fixing - ECM chemical anchor, which the company says is not only one of the strongest on the market, it is also one of the most user friendly.

CM is both ETA-approved (ETA-12/0252) and free from hazard symbols. It does not contain any isocyanates or phthalates and the empty container does not have to be sorted as hazardous waste. It’s important for ESSVE, as a company, to offer products that support a healthy work environment, and the ECM is proof that the strength of the chemical anchor does not require unhealthy substances.
