equipment range will be a wheel-driven grass trimmer. Aimed at users ranging


from homeowners to professional landscapers, it is designed to cut problem brush and shrub areas to size, while being simple to operate. Made from hard-wearing steel,


the machine has height adjustable handlebars and


its wheel transmission is controlled by gears with a reducer. Other British-made Camon equipment on display will include the TC07 turf cutter, the LS42 lawn scarifier and the LA20 aerator, as well as the company’s log splitter range.

First-time exhibitor Postpullers (UK) will launch the latest version of its Hercules machine designed for the removal of concrete, wooden and steel fence posts, including concrete footings up to 60cm wide, in less than two minutes. Also available is the Goliath, which can handle posts with wider concrete footings, and has removable legs for access. Whilst the standard machines are operated via a hand pump for versatility and manoeuvrability,


powered models are also available that connect to a standard hydraulic power pack, enabling posts to be removed by simply operating a lever.

Manitou on track


Exhibiting at the Show for the first time, Manitou will promote models in the Gehl RT series of compact track loaders. They incorporate the manufacturer’s


HydraTrac system, designed to eliminate the need for manual tensioning of the tracks before operation.


The 3903kg RT17 and 4486kg RT210 have 68.4hp and, 70.7hp Yanmar engines respectively, and under the standard ‘5x5’ drive control system, five parameters can be


changed to suit operator preferences and application requirements. Visitors can also find out more about Manitou’s 160ATJ and 180ATJ all-terrain aerial work platforms, which offer maximum working heights of 16.25m and 17.65m respectively.

Wacker Neuson will highlight its ET range of mini excavators, including the new generation ET18, ET20 and ET24 in the 1.7 to 2.4 tonne class. They have more powerful Yanmar engines, increased hydraulic power, an enhanced cooling system, a more spacious cab and better access for maintenance. For the UK market, all relevant machines are now equipped with the company’s Vertical Digging System (VDS) as standard, which enables the entire superstructure to be tilted into the upright position for enhanced efficiency when working on gradients of up to 27%.
