Opportunities with MHM

Re-hire specialist, MHM Plant, reports that it has made a £3m investment in TowerLight lighting towers, VB9s, VT1 Eco lights and Linktowers, plus GenSet
generators from 10 to 100kVA, including multi- voltage sets and Tier 3 Centurion models, as well as GenSet engine driven welders ranging from 170 to 600A.
The company says that staff are looking forward to welcoming existing and potential customers onto its stand
to discuss its re-hire operation, and that it is also actively looking for re-sale partners for used equipment, with no stock holding commitment being required.
Great plans from HTS
Plant spares supplier, HTS Industrial Supplies, will use the opportunity provided by the Show to promote its new, industry specific 2013 parts directory. As a parts and consumables supplier to the plant and tool hire industry, HTS aims to provide the workshops of both multi-national and independent hirers with their requirements.
It says that it is continuing its journey
from being good to great with the introduction of thousands of new parts to its line-up. It regards the catalogue as the mainstay of its business, and it is used by hire managers, fitters and workshop foremen. Claiming to be a ‘one stop shop’ for the industry, HTS will also give
visitors a preview of its new website, as well as having a comprehensive display of new products, and the first 25 stand visitors will receive a £25 HTS voucher.
The manufacturer will also give details of the new Utili-Finder locator system, which is designed for use by people needing to detect buried utilities without experience or comprehensive training. The operator plugs a Utili-Gen unit inside a building and then traces electricity cables outside with the locator. It is intended for use by anyone digging near existing properties, such as when working on house extensions, conservatories, driveways and landscaped areas.
User-friendly Leica solutions
New from Leica Geosystems is the Disto D510, designed for easy distance measurement even in unfavourable light conditions. Being equipped with a 360° tilt sensor and a digital point finder, it is claimed that the unit can measure angles and horizontal distances, enabling measurements where no reflective target point is available, such as when determining the height of a tree or measuring the height of a reflecting glass facade. Integrated Bluetooth technology allows data to be transferred to a laptop, smartphone or tablet device.
