Going to the Show will enable us to see what’s new and what we might add to the fleet to win more business. You can’t just automatically rely on offering what you always have, you need to check out the latest innovations that can give you a competitive edge, and the exhibition enables us to do that.

Amongst the categories of equipment that we will be looking out for are pumps, floor sanders, diggers, dumpers and generators. We’ll have our chequebook with us and so, if we see the right products and get some good deals, we’ll buy them.

We have just opened our third outlet, a ‘satellite’ operation within an independent builders’ merchant in Bridgend. We opened another presence at a similar merchant in another part of Swansea 12 months ago. So, we are very much in a positive mood and we plan to go to the Show to keep up to date. As a business, you have to keep moving forward and you can’t just sit back and wait for things to happen by themselves. At the Show, we will be checking out the latest innovations and touch base with suppliers like Hilti, Milwaukee, Bosch and Youngman. It’s a day away from the office, but it is really well worth the effort and your hire business really benefits from it.

The Show is the ideal way of finding out about the latest products available, and so the Innovation Trail highlighting new launches sounds particularly worthy of attention. You also bump into loads of industry contacts. One product area we want to develop in our fleet is floor surface preparation equipment, so I’ll be looking out to see what is on offer. Generally we are always on the lookout for something new that we can profitably add to our range.
