Snowshoe at Lyman Woods! Don’t let the snow slow you down! Rent a pair of snowshoes at Lyman Woods and get out there to enjoy the winter woods! Snowshoe on your own, or sign up for one of our free guided snowshoe hikes. When there are at least four inches of snow on the trails, both adult’s and children’s snowshoes will be available for use at Lyman Woods. Snowshoes are available during regular Interpretive Center hours on a first- come, first-served basis. The rental fee for each pair is $6 for a 3-hour rental. Credit cards, checks and exact cash are accepted. Renters must provide valid credit card for deposit.
Snowshoe Hikes
Bundle up, strap on snowshoes and hit the trails at Lyman Woods! Join a naturalist on a snowshoe hike and discover the beauty and wonder of the winter forest. Snowshoe hikes are free with the rental of snowshoes at the Interpretive Center ($6 per pair). Space is limited, and registration is required. Ages 5 & up.

Family Programs
Goodnight Twilight Hikes Explore Lyman Woods at night! Hike the trails with a knowledgeable naturalist to explore the nighttime sky, search for nocturnal critters and listen to the sounds of the woods at night. End the evening sharing stories around a roaring campfire complete with marshmallow roasting! If there is snow, we may snowshoe! In case of inclement weather, portions of the program may be held indoors. Please list the number and ages of people in your family when you register.
