Create an unforgettable birthday party with the Downers Grove Park District’s Birthday Party Service. Just invite the guests and bring your child’s favorite cake or order one of ours through Sugar Bloom Bakeshop. We do the rest!
All theme parties include: Two-hour party (unless otherwise noted), tableware, candles, supervised theme activities, setup/cleanup and two birthday party leaders.
Registration is required at least two weeks in advance. Call now to make arrangements for a memorable birthday celebration. Party planning begins upon full payment. For more information, please call 630.963.1300.

GymKids Parties (Designed for children 5 - 12 years of age) For energetic kids who love to move! Children play supervised games in our gymnasium led by our birthday party staff followed by time in the party room for refreshments. Due to gymnasium size, parties for children ages 9 to 12 years of age will have a maximum of 12 participants. Parties are available Fridays from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 2:30 - 4:30 p.m.
Dance Parties (Designed for children 5 - 12 years of age)
Led by our own dance instructor, children warm up and learn choreographed dance combinations in our dance studio. The guest of honor can choose the style of dance: ballet, hip-hop, jazz or combine styles. Music is provided. Parties are available Fridays from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 2:30 - 4:30 p.m.
Paint-N-Take Parties (Designed for children 5 - 12 years of age)
Create and celebrate the art of letting your creativity flow in our ceramic studio. Children will paint ceramic pottery pieces that are ready to take home the same day. Parties are available Thursdays and Fridays from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 2:30 - 4:30 p.m.
Birthday Bake-A-Thon (Designed for children 5 - 12 years of age)
A deliciously good time! Bake the day away with cupcake creations and design a personalized apron for future culinary fun! Parties are available Thursdays and Fridays from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 2:30 - 4:30 p.m.

Tumble Tykes (Designed for children 3 - 6 years of age)
Your preschooler will flip for our gymnastics birthday party! Activities include supervised play on the balance beam, uneven bars, crawl tunnels, mats and tumbling on the big blue carpet. Parties are available Thursdays from 5:45 - 7:15 p.m. at the Recreation Center.
DJ Party (Designed for children 4 - 12 years of age)
Invite your friends to come party! A DJ will lead you and your friends through 60 minutes of songs and activities followed by time in the party room for refreshments. Parties are available Thursdays and Fridays from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 2:30 - 4:30 p.m.
FUNdamental Sports Party (Designed for children 4 - 12 years of age)
Experience the “FUN” and play your favorite sports! The birthday child will choose their favorite sport activities to play with their friends. Parties are available at the Lincoln Center Fridays from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m., Saturdays 2:30 - 4:30 p.m. and Sundays at the Recreation Center from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.
Nature Birthday Parties (Designed for children 3 years of age and older)
Fee: $100/party (up to 10 children) $5/each additional child
Are you a real party animal? Add an exciting twist to the traditional birthday party and celebrate your birthday at Lyman Woods! Your wild party includes outdoor adventures led by a naturalist, as well as time for opening gifts and eating cake in the Interpretive Center or outdoors in the picnic area. Birthday party programs feature unique outdoor adventures, age-appropriate games and activities and a fun guided hike. Choose from one of nine nature themes for ages 3 years and up!
Parties must be booked at least two weeks in advance.
Add on Campfire Fun! Extend your party with a 30-minute campfire program, complete with marshmallow roasting (additional fee applies). Call the Interpretive Center at 630.963.9388 to book your wild party!
