Gymnastics & Tumbling The Downers Grove Gymnastics program teaches the sport in a fun and safe environment. The progressive program offers high quality, developmentally appropriate classes designed to enhance self-esteem, increase social skills, develop self-motivation, build spatial awareness, improve concentration, promote physical fitness and help children grow as individuals. Our knowledgeable and experienced staff encourages each child while emphasizing safe practices. Children are evaluated at the end of each session and are promoted as they master skills in each level. Parents receive notification when their child is ready to be moved to the next level.


Attire: Warm-up suit, T-shirt, shorts and socks or leotard with or without shorts. Long hair must be tied back.


Notes: Child must be of age listed in program details within one week after the start date of class or have instructor approval.


All parents must watch from the designated viewing area. Some classes held at the Recreation Center may not have daily observation available.


DGN: North High School Gymnastics Facility is located in the south building. Enter from the Prince Street courtyard. Parking is available in the Saratoga Avenue lot.


Rock ’n’ Rollers (Parent/Child) (18 months to 3½ years)


These parent/child gymnastics classes emphasize motor development and spatial awareness. Siblings are not allowed in the gym. Childcare is available in Kidzone. No class March 25 - April 1.

Rhythmic Gymnastics Basic Training for Girls


The Olympic sport of rhythmic gymnastics develops balance, strength, coordination, grace, flexibility, basic dance and tumbling skills while utilizing hand apparatus such as ball, hoop, rope, clubs and ribbons. No previous experience is necessary to enroll. No class February 14.

Little Rascals


Rhythmic Gymnastics (For Boys and Girls)


Introduce your child to the wonderful activity of rhythmic gymnastics! This sport offers the opportunity to gain ability and self-confidence in the areas of coordination, creativity, agility, balance and flexibility. Preschool rhythmic gymnastics incorporates dance, basic tumbling skills and music with the use of hand apparatus such as ribbons, balls, ropes, clubs, hoops, balloons, scarves and beanbags. No class January 21, February 11, and March 4.
