a daunting task for many so it’s important that staff are friendly, knowledgeable and on hand to make the experience enjoyable and hassle free. Steve is now launching New Image Tiles franchises utilising his 23 years’ hands-on knowledge and experience. Franchisees receive an initial two-week training course covering all aspects of the business model, as well as ongoing support across the business. Franchise director Nigel Gauder says: “We offer and insist on a level of support and sales training for the franchisee. We have the ability to train anyone into being a manager of his or her own business – we’ve been doing it for years.” Franchisees can take advantage of powerful brand imaging, exclusive product range, continuous management and administrative support, growing market share, expert advice, extensive product training, tested fi nancial systems and accounting package, full sales and marketing training, computer systems training,

and local and national advertising support. Investment level ranges from £15,000 to £50,000. Nigel says: “There is no investment in stock – we operate a 24-hour delivery system from our central warehouse. The major investment is in premises. Initial setting up cost is about £35,000, plus a licence fee of £15,000. There is an ongoing graduated management service fee that tapers as the business grows. The EPOS system we install does 99 per cent of the accounting for the franchisee.” 
