Escondido, CA, Lodge held a solemn ceremony honoring the memory of the victims of the September 11 terrorist attacks and treated the 79 people who attended the ceremony to refresh- ments following the service.

Show Low, AZ, Lodge held its first annual Kids Fishing Derby, treated 65 children to a day of fishing, carnival games, and snacks, treated the children and their families to lunch, and awarded prizes to each child and special prizes to the 12 children who caught the largest fish. The prizes included toys, games, fishing equip- ment, and goldfish and other aquarium fish. The winner of the grand prize, which was a new fishing pole and reel, was 12-year-old Mason Fagotti. Mason was awarded the prize for catching the largest fish.


Atascadero, CA, Lodge donated $200 to the Atascadero Hounds All-Star Softball Team, a team for girls ages ten and younger, to help pay for them to compete in the 2011 Amateur Softball Association of America 10U Class B Girls Fast Pitch Western National Championship, which was held in Clovis. In other news, lodge members, along with representatives of the local chamber of commerce, presented certificates to more than 50 residents and business owners to recognize them for correctly flying the US flag.

Fullerton, CA, Lodge members delivered 60 home-cooked dinners to firefighters at 12 fire stations on September 11 to thank them for their service to the community. In other news, the lodge held a birthday dinner for 13-year-old Kailey Dillon and her family, honored them for their efforts to deal with Kailey’s developmental disabilities, and gave Kailey a new tablet computer.


Prescott, AZ, Lodge, with the help of a $2,000 ENF Promise Grant, held its annual Back-to- School Clothe-a-Child event. Lodge members provided each of 37 needy children with $100 to spend and accompanied each of them on a shopping trip through a retail store.
