Crestwood, MO, Lodge donated 250 pounds of aluminum pull tabs to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Metro St. Louis, which provides temporary housing to families of hospital- ized children. Pictured are Ronald McDonald House Development Assistant Lindsey Fletcher (left) and ER Angeline Fusco.


Edgewater Park, NJ, Lodge held a Pig Roast for Special Children fund-raiser, which featured face painting, crafts, and games for children, and raised about $4,500 for the lodge’s Special Children’s Committee. In other news, the lodge held a Helping Families in Need fund-raiser, which featured a meal, musical entertainment, a Chinese auction, a horseshoe tournament, and a plas- tic washer tournament. More than 120 people attended the event, which raised $2,100 to assist needy families.

Cedar Grove, NJ, Lodge members participated in the Town of Cedar Grove’s 9/11 Memorial Service and paid tribute to the victims of the terrorist attacks of September 11. The lodge also donated a 9/11 flag, which commemorates the victims of the 9/11 attacks, to the Cedar Grove Fire Department.


In other news, the lodge held its 20


21st annual Lobsterfest fund-raiser, which also featured live musical entertainment and which more than 400 people attended, and raised $21,000 for lodge scholarships and other charities.


Lacey, NJ, Lodge held a Caribbean Night fund-raiser and raised $3,000 for a number of lodge charities.


New Jersey State Elks Association held its annual Army of Hope Picnic fund-raiser at the Lacey Lodge on the


tenth anniversary of the terrorist attacks of September 11. More than 1,200 people attended the picnic, which raised more than $120,000 for the Army of Hope, which assists the families of deployed US military personnel. The association also treated more than 150 family members of deceased and wounded veterans to lunch and musical entertainment.


West Orange, NJ, Lodge members attended a Memorial Service held by the Township of West Orange for the victims of the September 11 terrorist attacks. Lodge members distributed snacks and bottled water to the 350 people who attended the service.
