l GER David Carr and his wife, Penny, visited COLORADO to attend the fall convention of the Colorado Elks Association. During their visit, the first couple paid visits to the Buffalo Bill Museum and Grave in Golden and the Denver Botanical Gardens. They also toured Laradon Hall Society for Exceptional Children and Adults, which is the state major project and provides a wide variety of educational and vocational services to children and adults with developmental disabilities. Additionally, the first couple inspected the Aurora Lodge’s impressive new building. During the conference, the Brighton Lodge presented the first couple with a small quilt decorated with hearts to echo the GER’s theme, Elks Give from the Heart. The first couple and about 100 Colorado Elks and guests also attended a dinner held at the Lakewood Lodge.
