NKK: Mini Lighted Snap-In Rockers
Scottsdale, AZ — New from NKK Switches, the CWS Series of full-face illuminated miniature rocker switch- es are suitable for compact or crowd- ed designs requiring illuminated switches at a low cost. Available with red, green
or amber illumination, these switches are also configurable with either LED (CWSC) or neon (CWSB) lighting. The CWS Series’ snap-in mount capability also ensures labor saving instal- lation.
These compact rockers are
rated 9A at 125VAC for resistive loads. The LED illuminated CWSC has an additional rating of 6A at 250VAC. The neon illuminated CWSB versions also offer a built-in resistor for direct connection to the AC power source. The offset terminal alignment on both versions gives out- standing insulation resistance and dielectric strength. CWSB versions are offered in
DPST and CWSC versions can be specified is SPST or DPST circuit configurations. Both series have snap-acting contact mechanisms to deliver smooth actuation and audi- ble feedback. Terminals are combi- nation solder lug and quick connect, and can be used with connectors to facilitate wiring.
Illuminated snap-in rocker switches.
high reliability is ensured with a sta- ble stationary contact construction. The quick-make, quick-break
characteristics of both versions limits arcing, extending electrical life to 10,000 operations minimum, and mechanical life is 30,000 operations minimum. All models are UL Recog - nized. Standard approval marking on CSWB is UL and CSA. Standard approval marking on CWSC is cULus. Contact: NKK Switches, 7850

RFMD Adds 2 New VC Attenuators
Greensboro, NC — RF Micro Devices, Inc. (RFMD) has released of two new voltage controlled attenuators (VCAs), the RFSA2013 and RFSA 2023. The new VCA components, which
operate from 5V and 3V supplies, respectively, cover a wideband fre- quency range of 50 to 4000MHz and satisfy a wide range of applications across end markets. These fully mono lithic VCAs
are said to provide excellent linearity with a third order intercept point greater than 50dBm over a 30dB gain control range. The devices incor- porate a new circuit architecture that provides exceptional over all per- formance in linearity, attenuation range, DC current and bandwidth, as well as a linear attenuation profile versus control voltage. These VCAs also employ inter-
nal temperature compensation to provide a stable attenuation profile over an operating temperature range from -40 to +85°C. Competing VCAs, typically using PIN diodes, have poor attenuation over temperature and a nonlinear attenuation profile versus control voltage. To correct performance short-
comings, these competing VCAs require further off-chip calibration and correction circuitry, which con- sumes valuable board space, adds cost and requires additional DC power. By comparison, RFMD’s inno- vative products provide customers a complete monolithic solution in a small 3 x 3mm QFN package. Contact: RF Micro Devices

DC/DC Power Converters from ConTech
Concord, CA — ConTech, a Division of Calex, has introduced its “QMJ” series of DC/DC converters, which offer up to 20 Watts of fully regulat- ed output power. The converters have a 4:1 input
range with nominal input voltages of 24VDC and 48VDC. Single outputs offered are 3.3, 5, 12, and 15VDC. Dual outputs are ±12 and ±15VDC. The footprint used on the 1 x 1-
in. package is same as that of an industry standard 1 x 2-in., thereby offering a space-saving alternative. The QMJ Series reportedly operates with efficiencies as high as
90 percent. Features include remote on/off, output trim, and short circuit protection. The operating ambient temperature range is -40 to +70°C with no derating. The unit is encap- sulated with a thermally conductive potting compound in a six-sided metal case for improved thermal per- formance in still air environments. The QMJ series is RoHS compliant.
