Facility in Arizona Seoul, Korea — Koh Young Technology Inc. in opening its US base of opera- tions in Chandler, AZ, has named Bill Astle, Americas General Manager. “Koh Young Technology pioneered shadow-free 3D solder paste inspection and is now doing the same in the automated optical inspection market with the recent launch of Zenith, the world’s first true 3D measurement and inspection system for electronic components and solder joints,” Astle said. “With the opening of Koh Young America, regional customers and business partners will be provided with an increased level of direct Koh Young support” he added. Bill Astle joined the company earlier in the year as Sales Manager for the
Americas. He is based in the newly opened Koh Young America office in Chandler, Arizona. Bill brings extensive experience, having served as a National Sales Manager and AOI Business Development Manager in Inspection systems technology for the Americas.
PEI-Genesis Hires Terrence Meehan as

This is a newly created position that will oversee the Company’s global IT systems and software. Most recently Meehan was the Director of Operations at Elemica Inc., a company focused on expert level sourcing and supply chain integration services. He has served in that role since 2006. David joined AIM in 1997 and worked in customer service, technical support, marketing and operations before relocating with his family to China in 2006 to manage AIM’s Asian operations. from SMTA China North Billerica, MA — BTU International, Inc.’s director of Asia Pacific sales, Zeping Zheng, received the Officer of the Year 2011 award from SMTA China. Zheng accepted the award during SMTA China East 2011 at the Shanghai Everbright International Hotel in conjunction with the SMTA China Fifth Gala Dinner. SMTA China honored Zheng as a result of the strong support he continuously provides to the association in liaising with the China govern- ment officers. He serves SMTA China as vice president of training and is con- sidered one of the key leaders of the organization.
