Munich, Germany — Yamaichi Electronics has introduced its TF junction box for thin film modules. The product is described as the first thin film junction box that has kink protection with “Hermetic Sealed” technology. This is the first time this familiar technology has been used in a junction box. The TUV and UL listed junction

box can optionally be delivered with or without diodes. In case of shadow, “Hermetic Sealed” design permits the overmolded diodes to discharge significantly more heat than a non- overmolded variant. With the “Hermetic Sealed”

technology, the junction box is not composed of individual “falling parts”. Instead, the cables and elec- tronics of the box are insert-molded in a single highly efficient work step. This overmolding process gives the J- box its shape and ensures absolute freedom from leaks. This increases the lifetime and safety of the entire photovoltaic installation. The simple mounting of the TF junction box on the solar panel with high-quality adhesive pads ensures cost-effective and safe production. The bands of the photovoltaic module are contacted through clamping terminals. There is no additional injection mass. Mounting is possible without tools. For automated production, the sepa- rately available mounting tool is rec- ommended. The box and cover can be

Qmax Test Launches Linear and Mixed Signal Test System

Chennai, India — Qmax Test Research Corporation has launched the QST4416-FC Linear and Mixed Signal Test System. The new test equipment offers significant cost and performance advantages to support power linear, opto, digital and mixed Signal IC test. The QST4416-FC was designed

specifically to reduce the cost of test without compromising production efficiency, flexibility or reliability. It is easily configured, supporting field hardware and software upgrades, allowing enhancement of the instru- mentation suite to support addition- al test needs. The new test system uses a zero

footprint design allowing for more efficient use of production floor space, supporting up to eight sites in a parallel test configuration. The “QmaxSoftTest” operating system is the semiconductor industry’s first GUI based Test development suite. It optimizes program development time using an efficient and easy-to-learn programming environment. Contact: QmaxTest Research
