VEHO HAS unveiled its new portable power pack, the Veho Pebble, which allows users to store up to 1500 hours of standby charge for when they are away from a power source. In addition to this, the vendor has also created a Pebble device that doubles up as a protective skin for the iPad. Compatible with a range of products,
including the iPod, iPhones, digital cameras, GPS and handheld gaming devices, the Veho Pebble is available in four models. The different models are mostly
distinguished by the range of connection tips available, and the respective power storage capacity of each device. The two lower end devices in the range – the Pebble and the Pebble XT – offer 5000 milli-amp hours (mAh) at 3.7 volts, while the Pebble Pro and the Pebble Pro XT offer storage of 13,200 mAh at either nine or 16 volts. In addition to these peripherals, the
Pebble range is also supplemented by the Pebble Smartskin, an innovative product that combines three
functions in to one device. Designed for the iPad, the Smartskin holds a charge of 6000 mAh, which Veho says is enough to give the iPad an extra 500 standby hours of power. However, its tacton rubber covering acts as a protective skin for the device, and finally a high-grade neoprene pouch functions as a carry sleeve as well. The Pebble portable power packs
carry suggested retail prices ranging from £44.95 to £79.95, while the Pebble Smartskin has a suggested retail price of £49.95.
