INGRAM MICRO CREATES FRENCH VALUE DIVISION Ingram Micro’s French operation has launched a value division, to be headed up by new starter Michel Cohen. The independent unit will apparently focus on the “value space and address the emerging market of advanced technologies”. Cohen will report to Christian Bittebierre, Ingram’s managing director of France and vice president of Europe. He previously led Azlan’s operations in France from 1994 to 2005, and most recently was in charge of Fleet Services Group.

SOFTWARE FIRM SERIF BROADENS ITS HORIZONS Serif is now working with WinSoft International to launch its software into new territories across EMEA, Asia and Latin America. The new partnership will see PagePlus, WebPlusand PhotoPlussoftware becoming available in Arabic, Hebrew, Spanish, Italian, Czech, Polish, Russian, Swedish and Dutch, as well as the current English, French and German. WinSoft International CEO Kamel Gaddas said: “Our partnership with Serif is the right way to bring an excellent range of affordable design and publishing software to a new market, one for which support of local languages is a must.”


OP3 UNVEILS PARTNER WEBSITE OP3 Technology has created a new online portal for its B2B partners. The OP3 Partner Website provides marketing materials and information including system specification sheets, images, logos and point of sale materials. According to the company, everything can be adapted to suit individual partners’ needs. OP3, which has direct links to vendors including Asus, Kingston, Microsoft and Intel, says all its PCs are fully customisable.
