According to Ginger Downs, CEO of the Chicago Association of REALTORS, this year has presented CAR with excellent collaborative opportunities to connect Chicago REALTORS to one another – as well as to other real estate professionals across the region and nationally. “We are at the forefront of developing relevant educational and networking events that make sense for our practitioners and are continuing to forge relationships that will help them grow their businesses,” she says. The 2012 Association Executives Committee Chair for NAR, Downs is also on the Board of Trustees for CAR’s Educational Foundation and on the Board of Directors for Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce and The Emergency Fund. Educational outreach is also important — Downs sits on the Real Estate Advisory Boards of DePaul University, John Marshall Law School and the Goldie B. Wolfe Miller Women Leaders in Real Estate Initiative and the Marshall Bennett Institute of Real Estate, Roosevelt University. The goal for 2010 is to continue to elevate the bar and offer CAR members the highest level of service and benefits to help them succeed. “It is a dream to get to work with such talented and passionate professionals. How lucky we are to have them in Chicago!”
