Our 5 types of virtualization are:
File Record Virtualization
⎯ we would use with our database structures.
File System Virtualization
⎯ we use with our NAS type architectures and DFS
⎯ from a device point of view we have Disk Virtualization.
Disk Virtualization would run in the sub-system.
Tape Library Virtualization
⎯ we run in a storage sub-system (disk or tape).
⎯ can be done in the network or in the host or server.
These are the localities of doing virtualization.
