distributed, per I/O, evenly across:
– HBA ports within a given host
– ISLs and redundant fabrics
– Storage ports

With automatic load-balancing, traffic is always distributed evenly across all
data paths. This ensures that traffic is also distributed evenly across fabrics
and storage ports.
Dynamic load-balancing typically distributes the traffic on a per I/O basis so
the actual balance will depend on the size distribution of I/Os and the number
of hosts that are sharing a particular fabric path or storage port.
