Let’s first consider the thrilling Q7. We were immediately captivated by the attractive styling and sleek, sporty appearance of the Audi Q7 with its beautiful LED lights and emphatic Audi emblem on the assertive grille, which hints that this is no ordinary SUV. With 19-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels, complementary chrome roof rails and trim, this is a luxury SUV. Climbing aboard you are of course struck by an interior of black leather with silver stitched upholstery, but also the practicality on offer in this seven-seat layout with masses of space.
With all seven seats in place, there’s 330 litres of space - or about the same as the average family hatchback – but if you fold the seats flat into the floor, that figure rises to a huge 775 litres. With the Audi MMI navigation, Xenon plus with LED lights, auto-dimming, and power-folding mirrors, Bose surround sound, passengers can watch the world go by in safety and comfort, and the panoramic glass roof will make the interior accentuates the sense of roominess and light. we tested features a 225 horsepower V6 turbocharged engine that is responsive and adaptable to both open road and about town driving. Considering its size, the Audi Q7 feels refreshingly sporty to drive with adaptive air suspension ensuring very little body roll through corners, and the steering is responsive and accurate. It feels wonderfully stable through tight bends and over undulating roads.
The Q7 offers a smooth and comfortable ride, absorbing the bumps of any driving surface, while the interior is well insulated from engine, wind and road noise. The Q7 also enjoys an eight-speed automatic gearbox, Audi’s quattro four-wheel drive and can sprint from 0-62mph in only 5.6 seconds, going on to a top speed of 155.3mph.
