The Regent cinema, Redcar Continuing the clean energy theme,

Teesworks will also be the home to Net Zero Teesside, which is a carbon capture, usage and storage (CCUS) project being developed to decarbonise industrial emissions in the area. It involves the construction

power station (NTZ Power) equipped with

carbon technology

of an 840MW gas-fired capture

and

the establishment of a carbon dioxide (CO2) gathering network to enable low- carbon hydrogen production and power generation in the Teesside area.

Supporting these huge projects on site is the development of a £107M South Bank Quay. The new quay will transform a 1km area along the River Tees, providing global firms with direct access into the heart of 500 acres of development land, and thousands more across the wider Teesworks site, straight from the North Sea.

Redcar and Cleveland is home to the largest ‘private wire’ electricity network in the UK. WILTON INTERNATIONAL is a 2,000 acre, multi-occupancy manufacturing site within Teesside Freeport, located in the heart of Tees Valley’s industrial area – home to one of the UK’s leading process manufacturing clusters. For energy intensive industrial businesses, Wilton International integrates ready-to-go energy, development land, infrastructure, utilities and security; minimising project costs, risk and timeframes.

THE WILTON CENTRE is the premier science park in the North East of England and provides office, laboratory and pilot plant accommodation. The park is adjacent to Wilton International and sits in the heart of the ‘North East of England Process Industry Cluster’ (NEPIC). It is

There are so many big projects happening

in there’s Redcar and

Cleveland and we’ve calculated that

OUR PLACE IN THE WORLD

We have the North Sea coast to the east; North Yorkshire and North York Moors to the south; Middlesbrough to the west and the River Tees and Hartlepool to the north. Redcar and Cleveland is well connected to northern cities; we’re within around an hour of places such as Newcastle, Durham, York and Leeds.

On the logistics theme, Redcar and Cleveland is the home to Teesport, the UK’s Northern gateway for international trade.

As a key piece of national

infrastructure and one of the largest private employers in

the Tees Valley,

PD Ports plays a critical role facilitating the nation’s trade. Teesport is the fifth largest port in the UK and only major port in England to handle more exports than imports. It supports 22,000 jobs and contributes £1.4 billion to the UK economy each year.

Aside from the large-scale projects,

there’s over £90M of investment in place projects, such as The Regent cinema and Kirkleatham Walled Garden – designed to improve the leisure offer for both residents and visitors; and in doing this

investment happening or in the pipeline, and we want you to be part of it.

we improve the lives and wellbeing of future local employees, a key ingredient to strong businesses.

And what a PLACE this is to invest. We have miles of beautiful coastline to enjoy and gorgeous countryside to explore. Redcar and Cleveland offers you the place and space to breathe. When it comes to spending your valuable free time, we have lots to offer – exciting events, engaging culture and amazing attractions.

Living in Redcar and Cleveland offers you relatively low house prices, the coastal lifestyle and access to excellent education.

We really should be on your shortlist of places to invest! – we have huge investment projects and prospects; we’re uniquely connected, with a deep-water port and Britain’s biggest Freeport; and we offer a wonderful coastal lifestyle. Redcar and Cleveland truly is a place to invest.
