While autumn dawns peaceful and tranquil, the Harrogate district is
buzzing with exciting investment projects and sustainable investment opportunities. It’s an infectious energy that is igniting North Yorkshire’s economic landscape and inviting businesses to acknowledge now is the time to get involved in the Harrogate district.
Co-Lab is Harrogate Borough Council’s flexible workspace to support and nurture start-ups, specifically in the digital, tech and creative industries. Located in the heart of town at Harrogate Convention Centre, this business incubator launched in 2022 as a response to the lack of affordable high quality town centre office space. The facilities, which include on-hand expert support, are already proving popular. Co-Lab has thrown open its doors for Leeds Digital Festival, hosting an open week for businesses to explore the workspace and, in conjunction with North Invest, a workshop on raising funding for new tech businesses.

work from home. The district offers an attractive package to

The project, made possible through the Transforming Cities Fund, also promotes health and wellbeing for visitors, residents and workers with plans for a new flexible outdoor space in this area of the town.

In recognition of how widely the appeal of the Harrogate district extends, Harrogate Borough Council’s Invest Harrogate team showcased at the first UKREiiF event in Leeds this year, as part of the new Invest York & North Yorkshire partnership. This new, post-pandemic event connected the international business community in person with around 5000 potential investors from the UK and overseas in attendance. Regional collaboration and its benefits from an investment perspective were also an important factor in Invest Harrogate’s support of Project Yorkshire, a global campaign launched on Yorkshire Day (1st August) 2022 by Hollywood-credited, Yorkshire-born filmmakers Scott and Sid.

Harrogate is located midway between London and Edinburgh, the west and east coast and so geographically has a strategic allure that has already been capitalised with, for example, growing investment at the West of Harrogate Business Park on Burley Bank Road. Eco- friendly initiatives adopted by current tenants align with Harrogate Borough Council’s own decarbonisation objectives for the district.
