East Midlands Broxtowe - A Borough in the Business of Growth
Transport Links Broxtowe has great transport links to London, Nottingham, Birmingham, Sheffield, Manchester, Leeds, and the south. It is located just off the M1, A52, A610 and is easily accessible by train as well as having East Midlands Airport nearby.
Skilled Workforce Our aim is to support new and existing businesses to prosper in Broxtowe and offer good quality jobs to our skilled workforce. Businesses can access graduates from the Universities of Nottingham, Trent and Derby as well as Nottingham College, who offer apprenticeship training alongside some great employment services that help employers build a skilled workforce.
Employment and Industrial Sites
Broxtowe also hosts a wealth of large retail and industrial parks. These include:
Arc Cinema, Beeston
The stretch of M1 between East Midlands Airport, A50 and Nottingham is one of the busiest in the UK, but just a ‘mile or two’ either side are four distinctive towns with excellent prospects for growth supported by a Borough Council with vision, drive and ambition.
Beeston – A modern tram-connected town re-inventing itself around the nigh time economy, arts and a strong independent retailing economy, with a medi-park themed Enterprise Zone and Boots HQ.
Stapleford - A £21.1 million Town Deal is creating a honeycomb of business starter space with a £1million grant scheme.
Eastwood – A manufacturing and distribution centre maximising the A610 corridor, crammed full of heritage for which a £25 million package of regeneration projects has been proposed as part of the Levelling Up agenda.
Kimberley – A compact, ambitious town with many community-driven enterprises, and home to Giltbrook Shopping Park and IKEA.
Our vision is a ‘greener, safer, healthier Broxtowe where everyone prospers’, with business growth top of the agenda. The Borough has supplemented this with ambitious Levelling Up Fund bids nearing £40m.
